Welcome to the heart of Ségala, in an unspoilt natural setting . At an altitude of over 500 meters, Lac du Tolerme is the largest lake in the département. With a surface area of 38 ha, it’s the ideal lake for fishing! Whether by lakeside, boat or float-tube, this pretty lake offers a wealth of opportunities for fishing and outdoor activities. Classed in the 2nd category, the Tolerme is rich in large roach averaging 200 grams. These fish are biters and return quickly within rod distance. The waters are also rich in bream and carp. English and feeder are two techniques that work very well on this site for stalking these big fish, which tend to stay in the middle of the lake. Other fish such as trout, gudgeon and tench also populate the lake. For trout, all types of fishing are authorized: fly fishing, spoon fishing, etc…

It’s here, on the edge of the lake, that the « Les Pieds dans l’eau » and « Les Années 30 » gîtes welcome you for a stay as close to nature as possible. With fishing equipment, fishing rods for the kids and float boats, we’ve thought of everything to make sure you have a great time. Did you know?

The Tolerme rises at an altitude of around 650 metres in the commune of Labastide-du-Haut-Mont. Retained by a dam since 1991, it forms the Lac du Tolerme. It then flows into the Bave, which in turn flows into the Dordogne.
